Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Glow & Hydrate with Dermaplaning.

The service begins with a thorough cleanse and gentle exfoliation, followed by dermaplaning to remove peach fuzz and dead skin. A soothing hydro jelly mask deeply hydrates and revitalizes. Note: this treatment focuses on skincare only and does not include facial massage.

Many sensitive skin clients tolerate the treatment when customized. We perform a consultation and patch test, adjust technique and mask selection, and avoid dermaplaning if skin is actively inflamed. Inform your technician about rosacea, eczema, or recent procedures before booking.

Most appointments last approximately 50 to 60 minutes. The service includes consultation, cleanse and exfoliation, dermaplaning, hydro jelly mask application, and brief finishing products. Because the treatment emphasizes skincare, facial massage is not part of the protocol.

Dermaplaning is not permanent; vellus hair regrows over weeks. Hair may appear finer and softer after repeated sessions, but maintenance appointments every 4–6 weeks are recommended to preserve smoothness and the freshly exfoliated appearance.

Aftercare includes gentle cleansing, regular moisturization, and daily SPF use to protect newly exposed skin. Avoid active exfoliants, retinoids, and heat treatments for 48–72 hours. If you experience unusual redness or irritation, contact us for guidance.

Contraindications include active cystic acne, open wounds, recent chemical peels, or recent isotretinoin use. Pregnant clients can often receive this treatment but must disclose medical history. We require a consultation to assess suitability and ensure safe treatment.
