Most eyebrow wax appointments at Skin Glow KC take about 10–20 minutes. Time includes consultation, precise shaping, and post-wax soothing. If additional shaping or tinting is requested, allow extra time; first visits may run slightly longer.
Some redness or mild irritation is normal for a few hours after waxing. Our estheticians apply soothing gel and recommend avoiding heat, heavy makeup, and exfoliation for 24 hours. Contact us if irritation persists or if you have sensitive-skin concerns.
Most clients return every 3–6 weeks depending on hair growth and desired maintenance. Beginners may need closer appointments to establish shape, then extend intervals. We’ll recommend a personalized schedule at your appointment.
If you've recently had chemical peels, retinol treatments, or strong exfoliation, wait at least one to two weeks or until skin has fully recovered. Always inform your esthetician about recent treatments to ensure safe, gentle waxing.
Waxing offers quicker coverage and cleaner lines across the whole brow, while tweezing or threading may be better for precise individual hairs. Your esthetician can recommend the best method for your hair type, skin sensitivity, and shape goals.
Avoid direct sun, saunas, heavy makeup, and harsh exfoliants for 24–48 hours. Apply a gentle soothing lotion or aloe if needed, and keep the area clean. Schedule follow-up care recommendations with your esthetician for optimal results.
