Get answers to common questions about Under Arm Wax.
Most clients enjoy smooth underarms for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth rate and hormonal factors. Regular waxing can extend time between appointments as hair becomes finer. Touch-ups may be scheduled based on personal preference and regrowth speed.
No—waxing pulls hair from the root rather than cutting it, so regrowth tends to be softer and finer. Over time follicles can weaken, producing thinner, sparser hair. Shaving, not waxing, can give the appearance of thicker regrowth.
Some stinging or brief discomfort is common, especially for first-timers, but sessions are quick and sensations fade fast. We use techniques and soothing products to minimize pain; regular waxing typically becomes less painful as hair thins and skin acclimates.
Ensure hair is about a quarter-inch long for effective removal—usually ten to fourteen days of growth. Avoid heavy deodorants, tanning, or exfoliation immediately before your visit. Clean, dry skin is best; arrive with no topical lotions to help wax adhere properly.
Mild redness, tiny bumps, or sensitivity for a few hours to a day is normal. Avoid hot showers, vigorous exercise, and scented deodorants for 24 hours. If irritation persists or you notice signs of infection, contact us for guidance and care.
No—please avoid deodorant or antiperspirant on the day of waxing. Residue prevents wax from gripping hair, increasing discomfort and reducing effectiveness. Clean, dry skin allows better results. If you arrive with product on, we'll cleanse the area before starting, which may lengthen your appointment.
